旧山手通り周辺には大使館が多いが、デンマーク大使館はヒルサイドテラスと同じ槇文彦の設計による暖色系の建物で、S字にカーブする道路に合わせて建物もゆるやかに曲面を描く。セットバック空間には植栽を植え、北欧最古ともいわれるキリスト像を浅く彫りつけた墓石のレプリカを置いて、本国の雰囲気を伝えている。

The Royal Danish Embassy on Kyu Yamate Avenue was designed by Fumihiko Maki, a jury member of Daikanyama Installation, and the architect of Hillside Terrace. Between the Avenue and the entrance of the Embassy, there is a setback space with beautiful plants and a replica of a gravestone of Middle Age for the first king in the present Danish royal family.
