構想から約15年を経て2002年にオープンした中目黒GTは、駅前だけでなく中目黒エリア全体の街づくりの核となってきた。オフィス・住宅のほか区立図書館・ホールなどをあわせ持った複合施設で、敷地内の一隅には地元の神社も祀られている。広場やギャラリーなどで行われるイベントには、区内外から多くの人が集う。
また開館時より施設内の様々な空間をいかして設置された現代アートの作品が、訪れる人の目を和ませてくれる。今回初めてインスタレーション作品が公募される。

Nakameguro GT (Gate Town) has been the center of city planning of Nakameguro since its inauguration in 2002. It houses office, residence, public library, concert hall, and even a tiny Shinto shrine annexed to the site. Both inhabitants and visitors enjoy the cultural events held in Nakameguro GT.
Also, from the beginning, a number of artworks have been installed here and there in the site, which creates unexpected encounter with the visitors. In this exhibition of Daikanyama Installation, Nakameguro GT offers for the first time the space for art competiton.
