Riegler Riewe Architects
Austria
Florian Riegler was born in 1954 in Austria. Roger Riewe was born in 1959 in Germany. They started to work together in Graz in 1987. In 1996 they founded Riegler Riewe Architects, and opened a branch office in Cologne. Their representative works include Technical University Grazfs information technology and electronic institutes, Federal institutes for social pedagogics and Airport Graz.

Belgium
Luc Eeckhout and Jan Van Den Broeke were born in 1960. In 1955 Luc Reuse was born. After several forms of cooperation, they founded this office in 2001. They are greatly concerned about long term effect of architecture on our environment. Sustainable building and forward-looking are the basic goals of their office.

Dorte Mandrup-Poulsen
Denmark
She was born in 1961 in Copenhagen. After learning sculpture and ceramics in US, she came back to Copenhagen and took her degree in Architecture in 1991. After experiencing working at Henning Larsenfs office, she founded Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter in 1999. While teaching at Royal Danish Academy of Art, her works in and around Copenhagen have won several domestic and International awards.

| Matti Sanaksenaho
Finland
Matti Sanaksenaho was born in 1966. He started his career designing Finnish pavilion in Sevilla exposition as a member of a group called Monark. He founded his own office in 1991. He teaches at Finnish and foreign schools and has won several awards for his works. He collaborates now with his wife Pirjo Sanaksenaho who is also an architect.

ANNE LACATON & JEAN PHILIPPE VASSAL
France
Anne Lacaton and Jean Philippe Vassal graduated Bordeaux Architecture School in 1980. They spent five years in Niger in Africa as architects and town planners. In 1987 they founded their office, and since 2000 they work in Paris. They have designed many houses in the south west of France. They also designed wide range of buildings such as university, office, cafe etc.

Germany
Arno Brandlhuber and Bernd Kniess both studied architecture/urban planning in Darmstadt. In 1996 they founded b&k+ in Cologne. They have designed many buildings in Cologne and other cities in Germany. At the same time they involve themselves in projects and exhibitions, collaborating with artists, musicians, philosophers and scientists.

Yannis Aesopos
Greece
He was born in 1966 in Athens. He studied at the National Technical University of Athens and at Harvard Graduate School of Design. After working at Bernard Tschumifs office, he started his office in Athens in 1995. Other than designing buildings, he is the co-editor of Metapolis review of Architecture and curates and participates in exhibitions, and teaches as an assistant professor.

| O'Donnell + Tuomey Architects
Ireland
Sheila O'Donnell and John Tuomey both worked at James Stirlingfs office and founded O'Donnell + Tuomey in 1988. They have designed many cultural and educational buildings in Dublin. They also take part in architectural/urban designing projects overseas. They teach in several schools, and have received many awards.

Italy
Walter Camagna, Massimiliano Camoletto and Andrea Marcante, who were all born and educated in Turin, founded UdA. The office now includes consultants, designers, graphic artists and engineers. Their work varies from interior design to urban renovation projects.

| Laurent Ney and Nathalie Ries
Luxembourg
Laurent Ney was born in 1964 and received his degree in civil engineering. Nathalie Ries was born in 1965 and received her architecture degree in Brussels in 1992. They founded their office T6 sarl in 1996. Since then they have took part in various projects in Luxembourg and Belgium. At the same time the office Ney and Partners deals with more structural projects.

Netherlands
Jan Pesman was born in 1951. After graduating Technical University of Delft, he worked as editor of architectural magazines, and in 1974 founded Cepezed with Michiel Cohen. The office currently has 32 employees. The internal office structure is horizontal. They place much importance in using appropriate techniques and materials for their projects.

Portugal
In 1963 Manuel Aires Mateus and in 1964 Francisco Aires Mateus were born in Lisbon. They both took their degree in architecture in Lisbon. Most of their works were won in competitions. They both teach at domestic and foreign universities, and received awards for their realised works.

Spain
Inaki Abalos and Juan Herreros started to work together in 1984. They both teach at architectural school of Madrid. They also took part in many seminars and gave lectures in Spain and other countries. They published several architectural books, and since 1992 they have directed International Multimedia League(LMI) ,which is an organization dedicated to contributing to the simplification and intensification of artistic practice

Studio Gr?n (Studio Green) is a co-operation of three Nordic architects, Norwegian Fredrik Lund, Swedish Martin Forsby and Finnish Mika M??tt?. They all studied in Gothenburg. In 1992 they won an international competition as a tem, and founded their office for its realisation. As their office name indicates, they are interested in exploring the relationship between architecture and nature.

United Kingdom
Simon Allford, Jonathan Hall, Paul Monaghan and Peter Morris founded the practice in 1989. While designing variety of buildings such as housings, schools, hospitals and Bus terminal, they all teach at Bartlett University College of London. They received almost every year the RIBA architectural awards.

Japan
He was born in 1962 in Miyagi. He studied at Tohoku University in Miyagi and does his practice and teachings in the same prefecture. On the other hand he received masterfs degree in SCI-ARC and worked at Coop Himmelblau. In 1992 he founded his office. He received world triennial award in 1997. His practices are centered in Miyagi but they vary from a house to a big stadium.

He was born in 1954 in Tokyo. In 1978 he graduated University of Tokyo and in 1984 he finished his doctorfs degree. In 1985 he founded his own practice. His works include small scale experimental temporary office to large scale station plaza renovation. Now he teaches at University of Chiba and works also energetically in researches and writings.

He was born in Osaka in 1958. After graduating from University of Kyoto, he went on to University of Tokyo graduate school. He worked as an assistant at Tokyo University, and now is an assistant professor in Tokyo Science University. While he was a graduate student he started architectural office Coelacanth with his colleagues. Later the office transformed in to C+A.

Kazuyo Sejima{Ryue Nishizawa
Japan
Sejima finished her graduate course in 1981 at Japan Womenfs University. And she founded her office in 1987. Since 1995 she collaborates with Nishizawa. She teaches at Keio University and Tokyo University. Nishizawa graduated Yokohama National University in 1990. And he teaches as an assistant professor there. Their activityfs field has become more and more international these days.

Kiwako Kamo, Masashi Sogabe and Masayoshi Takeuchi who are all born in 1962 and studied at Tokyo Institute of Technology and Manuel Tardits who was born in Paris in 1959 founded their practice in 1995. Their work ranges from architecture, interior design, to furniture etc. And their attitudes for collaboration are always open to other members.
