Fram Kitagawa has acted as the general director for the Setouchi Triennale since 2010. The guideline for the Setouchi Triennale 2022 open call has been announced.
Continuing to pursue the aim of “Restoration of the Sea”, the last Setouchi Triennale was held in 2019 on twelve islands (Naoshima, Teshima, Megijima, Ogijima, Shodoshima, Oshima, Inuzima, Shamijima, Honjima, Takamijima, Awashima, and Ibukijima) and two ports (Takamatsu Port, Uno Port) in the Seto Inland Sea.
It took place over three sessions, spring, summer and autumn, for a total of 107 days, and the total visitors reached 1.18 million.
